"Before following Karen's plan, I was a mess! For the most part, all my life prednisone would take my ulcerative colitis into remission. One of my gastroenterologists told me I had become steroid dependent. He really didn't know what else to do so that is what we used. In 2017, I had a serious dental issues that went on for an entire summer. I as on antibiotics the whole time, all the while afraid of what the antibiotics were going to do to my ulcerative colitis. My fears materialized when I got C-Diff. I went through all the antibiotics (even the very last expensive one) but without success. With some research, I learned about fecal matter transplants (FMT) and had one done at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. I remained under the care of the gastro doctor there who performed the FMT. He was determined to get me off prednisone. We tried hydrocortisone, Canasa suppositories, Endocort suppositories, Budesinide--all to no avail.
Unfortunately, I was running to the bathroom upwards of 15 times a day with all bloody water, no stool at all. I was unable to work. My doctor told me that I was headed for Humira or Entyvio. Then I began Karen's plan. I am thrilled to report that I no longer have any problems with the ulcerative colitis. The doctor has been able to remove all my medications and my ulcerative colitis is in remission without using any medications, only diet!"
